It belongs to the basic diagnosis and is part of every cardiological examination. It is a recording of the electrical activity of the heart.in the patient's resting supine position.

Sensing the electrical activity of the heart. A small sensing device is attached to the patient's chest using self-adhesive electrodes to record the ECG. It is mainly performed when a cardiac arrhythmia is suspected.

Escalating workload on a stationary bicycle while simultaneously taking 12-lead ECG and blood pressure measurements. Performed by both a nurse and a physician. It is mainly performed when ischemic heart disease is suspected.

The patient takes home a device for 24 hours that automatically measures blood pressure with a cuff attached to the arm. Every 15 minutes during the day, every 30 minutes at night. It is performed when high blood pressure is suspected or to verify the effectiveness of hypertension treatment.
